Our welding capabilities at Nelson Industrial include both manual and robotic welding processes. For physically large or low volume projects, manual welding is ideal as it requires little to no special fixturing. As volumes increase, robotic welding can significantly decrease production times, lowering overall per piece costs.
We offer gas metal arc, gas tungsten arc, and resistance welding of aluminum, steel, and stainless steel assemblies fabricated from sheet, plate, coils, and structural shapes. Gas metal arc and gas tungsten arc, also known as MIG and TIG welding, respectively, are versatile processes that can be used to join a variety of metal thicknesses and joint types. Resistance spot welding is a reliable and efficient way to weld thinner sheets of metal. We have multiple pieces of equipment for each type of welding which allows us to choose the optimal set up for a given project size, volume, and complexity.
